The Business of Making Wine

This one-day business development workshop deals with the business aspects of producing wine. Industry professionals will provide information about production, finances, business plans, and marketing strategies that will help you complete the business planning process. The goal of this workshop is to help you maximize business performance.

Basic Wine Making: Maritime Grape Emphasis

WSU-extension is pleased to announce a beginner’s workshop
on starting a winery and making wine.

This is your opportunity to learn about making wine and what it takes to start a winery in Washington State. We will cover the basics of winemaking in the morning, the costs, the equipment, wine microorganisms, and what to look for in your grapes. The afternoon will focus on winemaking techniques for Westside grapes including deacidification, sparkling wine production, and blending. Hear from Washington winemakers and wine educators! If you are in the early phases of opening a winery, planning to open a winery, or just dreaming about it, then join us on June 30.
