Terrie Jones, Learning Center Director Terrie coordinates Learning Center activities including student services, advising
and collaborative programming with Lower Columbia College. She has an MA in
Public Administration and a BA in Political Science and History. As an adjunct
faculty member, Terrie teaches Political Science at Lower Columbia College.
Terrie will be eager to discuss the benefits of Distance Education, facilitate
student transition to Washington State University and share current information
concerning community education events. Terrie can be reached via email.
Lisa Payne, Learning Center Coordinator
Lisa is the support person for the Learning Center. She assists Terrie in the day
to day management of Learning Center activities and will also assist you with all
WSU on-line processes, including applying, financial aid and registering for classes.
Lisa graduated from Lower Columbia College with her transfer degree and is currently
a COUGAR! Lisa can be reached via email.
Gary Fredricks, WSU Extension Director, Cowlitz County
Gary is supervisor of the WSU Learning Center and director of the WSU Extension
offices in Cowlitz County. He oversees Learning Center operations and assists in
developing degree programs and course delivery in the Cowlitz County area. Gary is also available via email. |

FACILITIES
The WSU Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Learning Center is
located in Room 120 of the LCC Instructional Office Building. We are generally open from 8 am to 5 pm daily during Fall and Spring Semesters. Our phone number is
360-442-2941.
Our facility is approximately 700 square feet and is
ADA compliant. We have eight state of the art computers
for student use in addition to a fax machine, copy
machine, and free phone for calls to Vancouver or Pullman. |

Our AMS (Academic Media Services) classroom is located in the Vocational Building Room 111 on the Lower Columbia Community College campus. We can seat approximately 50 students
in this classroom and are able to bring classes from Pullman, Vancouver, or any other
statewide AMS site to Longview. It is a voice-activated system and is completely
interactive! It is exciting to have students from all over the state as classmates in our AMS
classroom. |
